Eight million kids in the Philippines fall short of the normal height and weight for their age. That, according to Kraft Chiz Whiz’s Senior Brand Manager, Paulo Serrano, is the inspiration behind Kraft Cheez Whiz’s Palamantasan sa Sarap.
Palamantasan sa Sarap is an advocacy campaign of Kraft Cheez Whiz in cooperation with the Department of Education and the Department of Health to educate children about proper nutrition, a promising project to help children become healthier in more ways than one.

The alumni and existing volunteers of Social Involvement Coordinating Office (SICO), the social arm of Ateneo de Davao University has drawn the inspiration of Filipino custom of Bayanihan to pursue the goal of Pens of Hope here in Davao. This campaign successfully started was originally conceptualized by Nortehanon, a blogger from Northern Samar.
We (with Kevin, Mark and Rock Jhunn) pitched in to support the various needs of the Pens of Hope and Beyond Art Sake. We pledged to show support for the campaign through amount raised from art works and blog about it.

I was in cloud nine with joy and happiness (excited) when I received a call from Doc Charles for a VIP invitation of Colt 45′s Vava-vroom Press Conference with the world’s sexiest, Cristine Reyes. It was held at Taste of Malaysia. Afterward, the actress, joined the country’s top bands Sandwich and Hilera for the Davao’s Leg of Colt 45′s Vava-vroom For Real Man Promo free concert at Damosa IT Park in Lanang, Davao City. I’m with my fellow bloggers, Kevin, Mark, Doc Charles, Ate Leah and Darline.
Philippine Nurses Association and Red Cross Davao Basic Life Support Training

I just finished the two-day course Basic Life Support Training under Philippine National Red Cross Davao City Chapter in cooperation with Philippine Nurses Association XI. Ma’am Mikko and Ma’am Timi discussed and trained us matters on how to respond in victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Choking- prompt recognition of emergencies that require immediate basic life support, how to advance life support, actions to assess and support airway, breathing and circulation, early defibrillation, how to treat and stabilize victims and other related topics.

My trip to General Santos City for the Mindanao New Media Bloggers Summer Safari and Food Trip hosted by SoCCSKSargen Bloggers’ last Sunday was a one great perfect summer escape- with all the ingredients of a successful destination. It was fun, free and full of possibilities – to a nature wonderland. GenSan has proven enough to a non-native General like me that there is more to GenSan aside from the usual image our local media create. The people, the spots, the foods, the fun… surely, GenSan will always be a part of my summer destinations.

I just brought home a memorable time of my two-day ultimate experience and “been-there-done-that-feeling” to be talked about again and again. I always dream of something “big” and by “big”, I mean, something on THE list. I am referring to last weekend’s 1st Mindanao New Media Bloggers SoCCSKSarGEN Summer Safari and Food Trip spearheaded by SoCCSKSarGen Bloggers having Avel and Orman Manansala as the official brains of the said event. Attended by Cagayan de Oro, Davao and SoCCSKSargen Bloggers, it was a big bang! Indeed, one perfect way to end the year.
